There are multiple ways to assign trades to your service providers in Ecotrak.
*Please note your service providers will need to accept their invitation to work with your organization in Ecotrak and have the ‘Allow Customer to assign trades and regions’ feature enabled via their Service Provider profile.
By Location
Step 1: Navigate to the Locations tab within the Admin module.

Step 2: Select a location by clicking on the corresponding Location ID in the Locations grid.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Trade Assignment’ tab and then click the ‘Edit’ tab. You will know you are ready to edit your service provider trade assignments because you will see the ‘Actions’ column populate with options.
Step 4: For a given trade description, click on the ‘Update SP Rank’ button in the Action column to open the service provider assignment window.
Step 5: Click into the ‘Select Service Provider’ field to open a list of your service providers who have indicated they work on the selected trade and in the area of your specific location, and select any service provider you would like to add to that location's lists.
You can also select the “Additional Service Provider(s)” option to access a list of all of your service providers. It is important to keep in mind that some service providers on this list may not work on the specific trade you have selected nor in the area of the location you have selected.
Step 6: Review all of the selected service providers, deleting any if necessary, and rank them according to your preference by clicking and dragging the individual service provider tiles. Finally, click the ‘Save’ tab to close the service provider assignment window.
Additional Actions - Copying Trade Assignments
Once you have your service providers selected and ranked for a specific trade at a one location you can copy this configuration to your others locations.
Individual Trades
Step 1: From the Trade Assignments grid, start by selecting a location and clicking on the ‘Copy Location Servicer Provider Rank Assignment’ button in the Action column of the Trade Assignment page.
*Please note, the ability to copy service provider trade and location assignment is based on the location assignment of your Ecotrak users. Before you can copy trade and location assignment of your service providers, you will first need to ensure your users have location assignments.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Select User’ field to open a drop-down list of your users and select a user that is assigned to the location you would like to copy your service provider trade assignment/ranking to.
Step 3: click on the ‘Select Locations’ drop-down and select the location(s) you would like to copy the service provider trade assignment/ranking to.
Step 4: Click the save tab and you’re all set!
All Trades
You also have the option to copy all service provider trades from one location to another.
Step 1: From the Locations grid, select the location you want to copy the trade assignment from by clicking the location ID or the view details option in the Action column.
Step 2: Take note of the location that appears in the breadcrumb at the top of your screen as this is the location you will be copying your trade assignment from - this is the location you selected in the previous step.
Step 3: Click the Trade Assignment Tab, click the Edit tab to enter edit mode, and then click the Copy tab.
Step 4: Select the location(s) you would like to copy your trade assignments to from the Target Location drop-down and then click the ‘Save’ button. *Please note that all existing trade assignments at the target location will be overwritten.
By Trade & Bulk Assignment
Step 1: Navigate to the Service Provider tab located within the Admin module. *Please note your service providers will need to accept their invitation to work with your organization in Ecotrak and have the ‘Allow Customer to assign trades and regions’ feature enabled via their Service Provider profile. |

Step 2: Select a service provider by clicking on the corresponding SP ID in the Service Provider grid.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Trades/Regions’ tab, then click on the ‘Edit’ tab, and then click the ‘+ Add’ tab.
Step 4: Select all the applicable trade types in the ‘Trade Type’ field, indicate if this service provider is self performing, select a region type in the ‘Region’ field and click the ‘Search’ button to populate available regions, select the appropriate locale option, and select a save option.
Bulk Trade Assignment
Bulk trade assignment allows you to assign/rank your service providers quickly and easily for multiple locations. Start by navigating to the Service Provider grid in the Admin module and selecting a service provider profile by clicking the ‘View Details’ action inc.
Step 1: Once a service provider profile has been selected, click on the ‘Bulk Trade Assignment’ tab.
Step 2: Select an available trade from the SP Trades selector. If a specific trade is missing from this list, please see the previous section for information on adding trade/region associations for a service provider.
Step 3: Select the location(s) you would like to associate the service provider and trade assignment to. You will also need to assign a rank per selected location in the last column of the Bulk Trade Assignment page.
You also the have the option to utilize the ‘Select All Locations’ and the ‘Rank All’ features that allow you to assign a service provider trade assignment to all the locations available in the Locations column and rank them simultaneously. While these two features are not required to be used together, they can expedite the process of assigning and ranking your service provers.
Additional Notes:
The Bulk Trade Assignment page features ‘Job Title’ and ‘Username’ drop-downs that, used in conjunction, allow you to filter the locations that appear in the Locations column, making it easier for you to set trade and location assignments based the job title and location configuration of your Ecotrak users.
The Bulk Trade Assignments page features an ‘Admin Only’ option that, when enabled, ensures that only your Ecotrak administrator can select certain service providers to perform certain work.
